Playfully Growing Minds

Last week, two of our Flatnose Box Trucks made their way to the Children's Museum of South Carolina "Plant city" exhibit.

We felt our wooden toys would be a perfect compliment to the city scape and would provides loads of opportunities for fun making. Donating these toys to CMSC, where our children have learned and explored through play, was so gratifying.

Within minuets of arrival we were rewarded by witnessing spontaneous play.

Thank you CMSC for creating a safe, fun place for kids of all ages!

These Boots Are Made For Flying

On a beautiful mid Winter day all our big guy wanted to do is fly.
Watching the horses and riders come by was fun and climbing the bleachers was great but jumping ~ flying would be thrilling!
Taking the path which may not be have been intended could open you mind to an adventure.

Many Hats

I have been given the name "Woman of Many Hats".
I do like to wear hats of various styles and colors. However juggling these hats seems to be what I do most days now. Not only juggling ~ wearing those hats. At times more than, maybe several. Today I got to wear only one all day long. The one hat I find both most challenging and most rewarding.
MOM ~ Happy Birthday my little Spring Peeper!

*These hat stands are Marlon's latest custom creation.

In our corner of the world (beach town) we have utility lines running down the length of the road. On occasion while driving about town, you may notice utility crews working on the power-lines.

As the years pass these poles weather and a few would lean. The sight of these poles always transferring me back to a quit place. Amazing how the mind works!

A few months back we had a request for a utility truck complete with bucket (cherry picker) mounted on a swivel arm.

The brilliant young boy (5 yr) who made this request, went onto imagine the utility poles the power-lines would run across, a few with transformers. Amazing how the mind works!

Slow and Steady...

Reflecting on resolutions made and plans laid for changes in the New Year, the not-so-little voice in my head keeps saying "Slow and Stead".

Breaking from life's whirlwind ~ time for grounding.
Making time to live in the moment.

New Years Resolutions

With the start of a new year we are looking forward to new opportunities along with a few resolutions.

Living a more restful, healthy lifestyle through those changes we have talked about: eco friendly household, whole foods maybe even a chicken coop in our back yard...

But most of all making time to live within the moment.

Here's to a Happy, Healthy and Peaceful New Year!
